Yvette Alde

Ivette Alde (1911 Paryż - 1967 Paryż) Studiowała w Paryżu w Académie Colarossi i Académie de la Grande Chaumiére na Montparnassie. Była także uczennicą kubizującego artysty André Lhote`a i projektanta graficznego doby art déco Charlesa Picarda Le Doux. Tworzyła prace przedstawiające, czasem inspirowane surrealizem, ale też o wyraźnych wpływach École de Paris. Cechowała je zazwyczaj ekspresyjna forma i grube impasty farby. Jej kariera artystyczna rozpoczęła się jeszcze przed II wojną światową wystawą w Salon d`Automne w 1932 roku. Później zajmowała się ilustracją książkową, grafiką i malarstwem, także na zlecenia, zrealizowała m.in. tryptyk dla katedry w Kabaya, Kongo Belgijskie (obecnie Demokratyczna Republika Konga) i portret Chaima Soutine`a dla rządu francuskiego.

Created works sometimes inspired with surrealism as well as those coming from École de Paris. The works were expressive in form and had thick impasto. Her artistic career began already before the II World War at the exhibition Salon d`Automne in 1932. Later, she pursued book illustration, graphic art and painting, also on commission, executed for example the triptych for the cathedral in Kabaya, Belgian Congo (presently the Democratic Republic of Congo) and Chaim Soutine`s portrait for the French Government.
